Notes from the Convention...

Warren County has two delegates attending the Convention. State Senator (and 2nd District congressional candidate) Brett Guthrie and former county chair Tommy Adams are delegates. One of the activities for the Kentucky delegation yesterday was a watch party for the UL-UK football game. Senator Guthrie should have won a best dressed award – he was wearing a WKU shirt!

Secretary of State Trey Grayson is not only a rising star in state politics but also in national circles. Grayson played an important role in drafting key parts of the Republican platform and has been very busy with appearances this week. In particular, he has been promoted youth turnout and engagement.

The selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s vice-presidential candidate has been well received including by members of the Kentucky delegation.
